Smile Makeover

When it comes to self-confidence, being able to deliver a beautiful smile is something that can really make a difference. Did you know that 75% of people don’t feel confident enough to smile for a photograph and that 45% of people judge a person by their smile?

Here at Orchid Clinic we are able to improve the appearance of smiles, no matter what the cause is of your dissatisfaction.

CEREC - Crowns in one Session

CEREC is an advanced piece of technology that enables the restoration of teeth without needing to wait for another appointment to have your crown fitted. Usually we’d need to make impressions and then make you another appointment so that you could have it fitted. With CEREC equipment that approach is a thing of the past. You won’t even need to wear a temporary filling as we will make our restoration of your cavity during the same appointment.

Tooth Whitening

Appearance counts a lot in the way that people judge us, and a bright smile is one of the first things that is noticed by others. Not only is a brighter and whiter smile more beautiful and confidence boosting but it can leave a memorable and lasting impression.

However, what we eat and drink can also have a lasting impact on our teeth. Smoking, coffee, tea, red wine and cola can all contribute to staining on our teeth.

Teeth Straightening

In our modern world, there’s a lot to be said for the link between appearance and self-confidence. Being able to deliver an attractive smile with white and straight teeth is something that many of our clients are now fortunate to be able to do.

Our teeth straightening service focuses on the harmony between your face, jaw and teeth for results that last. There are a variety of teeth straightening techniques available to us, and we will work to evaluate which method is the best for your individual circumstances.

Laser Dentistry

It’s a fact that many people dread visiting the dentist due to the possibility of pain being experienced during procedures.

A new technology now makes this dread unnecessary. Laser dentistry is a technology that makes it possible to undergo several procedures that would normally be associated with some tooth pain.

As an alternative treatment option for you, here at the Orchid Clinic we can perform procedures in a comfortable and safe way using our laser.

Tooth Coloured Fillings

Unfortunately there are very few people who go through life without needing a filling. Even those who are most diligent in good oral hygiene practices can still develop a cavity or dental caries.

The procedure of treating the cavity means that the dentist is required to remove decay and then fill the tooth with another piece of suitable material. Due to the advancement of dental technology, it’s now possible to make choices from options for those clients who need a dental filling.

Veneers

The veneers that we use are made of porcelain and they are wafer-thin and able to create a cosmetic improvement for a tooth. They are sometimes referred to as dental veneers and sometimes dental porcelain veneers. These thin shells are bonded to the front of teeth so that any discolouration, chipping, wear or misalignment can be improved.

Conscious Sedation

Your wedding day is one, if not the, most important days of your life. Making your promise in front of friends and family is an important event, the memories of which will stay with you forever. Appearing in photographs and video that you will be able to show your grandchildren makes it important that you truly do look your best on the day.

Comprehensive Dental Examination

Here at the Orchid Clinic in Brackley we provide comprehensive dental examinations for those who would like to understand more about the condition of their teeth and gums. As one of the leading dental practices in Northamptonshire, we aim to provide the best possible care for our clients when it comes to helping them to maintain their dental health.

Children

One of our aims, here at the Orchid Clinic in Brackley is to provide children with the foundation that they need to have a positive future when it comes to maintaining their oral health. We provide them with the basics and encourage them to deliver the selfcare that is necessary for them to retain their natural teeth for as long as possible in their lifetimes.

Tooth Extraction

Most people will need a type of tooth extraction at some point in their lives. Here in Brackley, at the Orchid Clinic we perform them regularly, but do not remove teeth that we can save. We are very passionate about keeping as many natural teeth as we possibly can.

Root Canal Treatment

Root canal treatment means the removing of damaged or dead pulp and filling the space left. The remaining tooth can then be repaired.

Our dentist is very experienced at root canals (also known as root fillings). We have performed many of these dental procedures here in our dental practice in Brackley, Northamptonshire.

Gum Treatment

Gum treatment is needed by those who are suffering either from gingivitis or periodontal disease. Gum disease that is affecting the surface is known as gingivitis. If it is left unchecked and untreated, it will progress into periodontal disease.

Treatment for gum disease can slow down or even stop the advancement of gum disease. The treatment for these conditions will depend upon the progression of it. Once the gum disease goes beyond the surface, it will begin to attack the gum and the jaw bone. This is what is known as periodontal disease and it will require a different levels of treatment.

Bridges

A bridge is used to replace missing teeth by fixing the replacement to the natural teeth at each side of the gap. Bridges are made of metal and porcelain or sometimes just porcelain.

A bridge can help to protect natural teeth from wear and tear. A bridge can also prevent your own teeth from moving or tilting out of line, which could cause your teeth to bite together incorrectly.

Dentures

Dentures are a set of replacement teeth for any teeth that are missing. There are partial dentures, which take the place of only a few teeth and prevent the others from changing position. If all the teeth are gone, the person would need a full denture, which replace every tooth in the mouth.

Wisdom Tooth Removal

In certain situations it might be necessary for you to undergo a wisdom tooth removal procedure.

Wisdom teeth are the last teeth to make an appearance by pushing through the gums, this being the case there is sometimes not enough space for them to grow properly and in the right direction for them to be useful and healthy. Most people can expect four wisdom teeth with one at each end of the gums. They will usually make an appearance during the teenage years or even during the early 20s.

Apicectomy

An apicectomy is a small surgical procedure designed to cure an infection at the tip of the root or roots of a tooth. It is indicated when, for a variety of reasons, it has proved impossible for your dentist to cure the infection by removing the dead nerve and placing a root filling.

Frenectomy

A frenulum is a connective piece of tissue that stops an organ from moving. For example, a frenulum is connected from your upper lip to your gums There is another frenulum that attaches your lower lip to your gums. In some cases the frenulum is either too short or too thick to allow for normal development and may need corrective action.

If you are suffering from your tongue or your lip being attached to soft tissue in your mouth, you may be in need of a frenectomy.

Dental Implants

A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that a periodontist places into your jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge. Dental implants are an ideal option for people in good general oral health who have lost a tooth or teeth due to periodontal disease, an injury, or some other reason.
